Gibran Kafal

Events Manager

With deep roots in New England, Gibran Kafal brings a thoughtful, community-driven approach to hospitality and events. Raised in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, with long-historical family ties to Newport, his upbringing fostered an early appreciation for gathering, tradition, and the importance of place - making Giusto a wonderful fit for Gibran.

Gibran is a hospitality and events professional known for producing elevated guest experiences with a strong focus on service standards and operational execution. A Johnson & Wales University graduate with a culinary degree, he brings a hands-on foundation in food, beverage, and hospitality leadership.

Gibran has developed and led guest programming across a range of properties—from a Forbes Five-Star resort in Harwich, Massachusetts, to a boutique inn in Provincetown—creating environments that are both welcoming and intentionally curated. His work blends hospitality, creativity, and community, bringing together guests, clients, and local partners to deliver memorable experiences.

In recognition of his leadership and impact within the hospitality industry, Gibran was named 30 Under 30 list by Hospitality Management magazine in 2024, honoring his innovative approach and contributions to the evolving events with guests, clients, and the hospitality landscape.

Outside of the restaurant, photography has become an extension of his storytelling, allowing him to explore light, setting, and narrative beyond events. As his creative practice grows, he will now look to Newport and Rhode Island as both subject and home base for the next chapter of his work. At the same time, food and baking remain deeply personal outlets—ways of creating memories, gathering friends and family, and continuing a lifelong connection to hospitality beyond the professional setting. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, using time away to recharge and gain fresh perspective.
